Global Pride Day

Global pride day in 2020 is Saturday 27th June. Like most other events on the social calendar all parades and celebrations have been cancelled.
The LGBT+ community have a number of on line celebrations but I wanted to show my support for a very special couple in our family by flying the flag with them.

They face so much prejudice on a daily basis, I am incredibly proud of them both for having the courage to stand up, be happy and for setting the most amazing example to my children that you can be whatever you want to be.

There is a video on my YouTube Channel Mrs H's Crafty Corner

I have entered this card into the Colour Crazy Challenge Week 25

Supplies Used

Flying the FLAG digi Stamp From Polkadoodles
Sparkles Digi Paper from Polkadoodles
1 Sheet A4 Red Card
1 Sheet White Card for Printing
Onganza ribbon in navy
Gems in Red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple
Compass set to 5 1/2 inch
Spectrum Noir Tri-blend Markers

Instructions

I printed and coloured the flying the flag digi stamp and cut this out using the scan and cut.

The sparkle paper was printed and cut to 5 1/4 Inch by 4 1/4 Inch using the same pattern setting as the stamp.

Using a sheet of A4 card I score down the middle and measured the half way point. Using a compass set to 5 1/2 Inch I drew a semi circle.on the lower half of the card.

This was cut out, to give a curved bottom.

The ribbon as glued down the 2 straight edges using double sided tape.

Gems were adhered to both pieces of ribbon in red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple.

The image and digi paper were glued together and adhered to the centre of the front of the card.

A small piece of ward was folded.into a W shape and adhered to the inside of the card to give it stability

A mixture of 5 black and clear gems were then placed in the middle at the bottom of the card to break up the red
