Presenting this gorgeous card for the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday DT
Our brief was a card for Mr Doodles birthday, a card suitable for a male using any Polkadoodles image.
I often find it difficult to make masculine cards as I find alot of the images out there too cute but Polkadoodles have a great range and I was literally spoilt for choice. I eventually settled on Astronaut from the little dudes collection.
A video is available on my YouTube Channel Mrs H's Crafty Corner
Astronaut Digi Stamp available here
Rocket Digi Paper from the Astronaut Collection available here
'On your special day's sentiment from Winnie Celebrations 3 Sentiment pack available here
1 Sheet Black A4 card
1 Sheet White Card
Distress Ink in Faded Jeans & Fired Brick
Embossing Powder in white/silver
Posydoodles Basic Tag Die which can be found here
Stitched Rectangle Nesting Die
I begun by blending the faded jeans distress ink on a piece of white card and sprinkling with the embossing powder while still wet. This was then heat set with the heat gun.
Cut the piece of black card to 6.5 Inch by 10 Inch and score at 5 and 2.5.
Cut the heat embossed card to measure 6 1/4 Inch by 4 3/4 Inch and glue onto one half of the card.
Mark the half way point on you rectangle die and line this up with the 2 1/2 Inch score line.
Put through the die cutting machine upto this half way mark, you do not want to cut out the entire rectangle just half of it
Fold and burnish the card back on itself from the 2 1/2 Inch score mark
Fold and burnish at the 5 Inch score
Cut the rocket paper to measure 6 1/4 Inch by 4 3/4 Inch. Glue this to the inside of the card so that it sits behind your image
Print the sentiment from the Winnie Celebrations 3 sentiment collection and cut out with the die from the posydoodles tag set available here
This was coloured using distress ink in fried brick and attached using foam squares to the front of the card
I have entered this into the following challenges
