Greeting Card Flower Shaker

I love the Papercraft Society July box it is so vibrant and fun. I love the idea of moving cards but for now wanted to just make a plain old shaker. I think I need to have a little play with the moving dies before I will be confident enough to film myself making one.

The video is on my YouTube Channel Mrs H's Crafty Corner

Supplies Used

Papercraft Society July Box
A6 Green Card
Gemini Torn Oval Nesting Dies
Foam Squares
Embossing Ink
Wow Embossing Powder in Green
Blue Sequins
Acetate
Hot Glue Gun
Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers

Instructions

I folded the green card in half and placed the largest nesting die to that it was slightly hanging over the folded edge of the card. This was put through the big shot to give me my card base.

The next smallest nesting die was used on a piece of silver mirror card and this was glued to the front of the card base.
I cut the vase out of the card base using the die from the set.

The dies came glued onto a piece of acetate. I cut a square of this off and secured it to the inside of the card base covering the vase hole, using hot glue. On top of this I placed foam squares all the way around the edge.

This was filled with blue sequins and a piece of blue card was stuck over the top

The bunch of flowers were stamped, coloured and die cut out, the stems were then cut off and they were glued onto the top of the vase. The same process was followed with the bow.

The 4 wands were cut out and a sequin was glued onto each wand and they were arranged around the vase of flowers.

Inside a piece of patterned paper was glued onto the card base to form the insert and the sentiment from the stamp set ' Celebrate another year' was heat embossed.
