Christmas Is Coming

Do you go and pick a real tree at Christmas? We have never had a real tree, never ever! Every year I say next year I want a real tree and every year without fail something else needs our cash and so our fake tree comes back out of storage.
These critters look like they have had a great time picking theirs

There is a video on my YouTube Channel Mrs H's Crafty Corner

Card Making Tutorial

A piece of white card was cut with the slim line die

This was blended in Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans and Salty Ocean

The edges were blended in black soot

A small patch was blended in picket fence to give the glow from Foxy's lantern

The snow flakes were stamped in Picket Fence and the stars in the silver Midas

A sentiment was heat embossed in white into the sky

A scrap of pearlescent white was cut with a stitched slim line die

Before being cut with the landscape die and glued onto the card panel

The images were stamped, coloured and die cut then arranged onto my snowy landscape. The gems were glued on to resemble snowflakes

A scalloped die was used on pearlescent white card and this was glued behind the panel

This was then adhered onto a blue slim line card base

  1. A fabulous card Claire, you have created a wonderful Christmas scene.
We always had a real Christmas tree until we had underfloor heating installed, not any more - the needles seem to drop almost immediately so we now have artificial trees.

    1. Oh that is really useful to know we have it too in our kitchen so will def have to have artificial in there. Thank you x

  2. Love the cute little critters collecting their tree-we have had a couple of real ones in the past when they used to shed all the needles!!!My son has a really big bay window and as he works at a garden centre on the weekend they have a beautiful massive real one every year

  4. Another fabulous card Claire and another fabulous background, love the cute little images, so adorable..I have a fake tree and sometimes no tree, I decorate my dinning table with everything in my Christmas box and there is a little tree in there which can sit on the table and a train set that goes around the table, so it does look very festive..
