It is Tuesday so time for a new Anything Goes Challenge over at Polkadoodles Digi-Choosday Challenge Blog. Pop over today to claim a discount code, giving a great saving on all digital images.
Our brief for this weeks challenge was to use a Christmas image and incorporate an acetate feature.
So here I am showcasing this fabulous scene made using Polkadoodles Frostella & Ginger Gift digital stamp.
This card was a real labour of love but I am honestly thrilled with it

Card Making Tutorial
I begun by printed the Frostella and Ginger Image and colouring. This was then cut out using the scan n cut.
I have been having real problems getting a smooth cut lately and was starting to loose faith in my machine but after watching a couple of you tube videos I decided to wipe my may with a baby wipe!! Just wow what a difference. It has made it sticky again and the cut is perfect.
I then hand drew a fence to go around my ice rink, I wanted something that would follow the perimeter of the lake so to get the angle right I had to hand draw. This was very basic and consisted of just lines as I really am useless
Apologises for the horrendous photo.
This was coloured and I fussy cut out the posts
On a separate piece of card an oval formed my lake and I coloured this to give the illusion of ice
On a piece of acetate a frame created using rectangle dies was adhered with double sided tape and I begun to build my scene onto this
A landscape die was used on white pearlescent card to give me my distant mountains and trees were printed and coloured from the Winnie Winter Wonderland Collection
The adorable snow lady and gingerbread man were adhered to appear to be ice-skating.
A piece of white card was cut to 1/4 inch longer than A5 and this 1/4 inch was scored and folded. This created the top fold by being attached to the front of the card panel
Foam tape was adhered around the edges and this was filled with snowflake sprinkle embellishments
A second piece of acetate was framed in the same way as the first to form the card front
The 2 were adhered together. I put some silver washi tape just around the edge of the acetate as you could see the foam in places
On the front of the card I added my hand drawn fence and a snowman from the Winnie Winter Wonderland Embellishment Collection. Ice skates from the same collected were added in the top corners
Die cut snow flakes were adhered around the frame.T he acetate panel was dotted with Nuvo drops to give the appearance of snow
A piece of blue card was secured inside the card so that it can be seen through the window
