Darling Buds

It is Tuesday so time for new challenge over at Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Challenge Blog. Don't forget to take advantage of todays discount code. You can find all the details on the challenge.

The design teams brief was to make a Mother's Day card which featured a wrap around band and an image from the Darling Bud Collection.

This meant I got to colour my snowdrop darling bud which I have not coloured up in so long

Card Making Tutorial

I begun by blending distress ink in speckled egg onto a sheet of watercolour card

Using the stencil and distress oxide in Worn Lipstick I created the background

A sheet of A4 was scored, folded and burnished to created a gate fold

The stenciled bavkground was cut using the devkle and then adhered onto the feont panels. The top of the card base was trimmed

The sentiment was created using the eden garden alphasketti and printed. The background was then coloured with an alcohol marker to take aware the hlare of the bright white. This was cut using the stitched sqaure doe feom the squarey swirly heart die and adhered using foam tape

The image was printed, coloured and die cut using the oval die. The trellis die was cut onto mint green card and the 2 werw adhered together. These were fastened onto hessian ribbon and fastened around the card with double sided tape

The panel was then embellished with Polkadoodle Dew Drops in pink  green and clear

I am entering this into the following challenges
