polkadoodles reveal card

Gosh doesn't time fly when your crafting?? Tuesday again already and so time for another challenge over at Polkadoodles Digi-Choosday Blog. Don't forget to claim your discount code. 

This weeks brief was to use 2 images and a card with a reveal. This is a first for me, I have never made one of these before but am totally in love with the result

Torn rectangle die

Card Making Tutorial

I printed 2 images using digital paper from  the magic garden bundle and embellishments from twiggy & Toots Embellies bundle. On one I place the Too Cute Bee heart basket and the other the Too Cute Turtle. These were trimmed down to size 

Both were coloured then using the oval dies I cut out the images 


Both were taped together and trimmed with a smaller die

These were glued together with cotton in between them 

The oval die was used on a sheet of card and the background image was adhered to this with each end if the cotton sandwiched between them


The edges were trimmed with the deckle

A sheet of A5 card was scored at a quarter inch and double sided tape added. The panel was adhered to this and the trimmed down again with the deckle

The sentiment was typed in Microsoft Word and trimmed with the torn rectangle die

It was coloured with the distress inks and finished with embellishments. Before been adhered to the card panel
