perfect time to craft

Another month over and hopefully we are finally getting back to some form of normal. Here in England we have not been allowed to mix for months but that is starting to ease and I have finally had a cuppa with my mum. Yes we were sat in the garden under a brolly but a step forward is a step forward right. Anyway a new month means a new challenge over at Perfect Time To Craft Challenge Blog and as always the theme is anything goes.

Our sponsor this month is Fred She Said and here is the card I made

pop up box

The new release from Crafty Purple Frog  is live now.

This pop up box card was actually going to be an anniversary card with champagne glasses and champagne bottles popping out but somewhere along the line I found my party mouse stamp set and it turned into a card for the new release over at Crafty Purple Frog

Naughty Mouse

When I was a little girl, I was bought a box of Beatrix Potter Books and my favourite was the one where the mice break into the dolls house and trash it, trying to eat all the ceramic food of the plates. This naughty mouse reminded me of that story. Look at the mess he has made when he broke into the bakery. The baker will be very cross in the morning and I am sure environmental health will have to be informed too

Firetime Foxes

Sly Mr Fox is trying to romance his lady here under the northern lights, keeping her toastie warm with a camp fire

The perfect even for this wildlife stamp by Purple Crafty Frog

Sneak Peek Day Two

Day 2 of the sneak peaks for Crafty Purple Frog. So I do not normally go for floral stamps,  I do own some they are just not something I reach for, so this one was a little different to a lot of what I have done lately

Crafty Purple Frog sneak peak

I was honoured to be asked to participate as a guest designer for the new release from Crafty Purple Frog which is available on the 30th. A small number of the complete collection are avaiable to pre order from today. You can find them here

Today is the first day of our sneak peeks which we are celebrating with an Instagram hop, so be sure to check it out as there is a great prize up for grabs

Einstein

When I first saw this stamp I just knew that I had to have it, with my Dad very much in mind, but then I thought it would make a great teacher card too.

This card has been created as part of the spring hop for Team Tiny on YouTube, It is a hashtag driven hop so if you do want to hop along your search term is #teamtinyspinghop over on YouTube

Date Night

Its date night, looks a bit posh, do you think tonight might be the night he pops the question? Or is it a first date? Either way he could have popped a shirt on

Vintage Anya

I have had this image coloured up for ages just pinned on my desk waiting fir some inspiration, she was a little experiment actually as I wondered how my markers would fare on the kraft card

Card Making Tutorial

I begun my stamping and colouring Anya on the kraft card. She was coloured using alcohol markers. She was cut using the torn nesting die.

She was layer using cream card and patterned papers. These were mounted together

I used the smaller stamps in the pack with the verasmark ink and heat embossed them with the pink embossing powder.

The background was trimmed using the deckle and blended in speckled egg

The sentiment die was cut using the same papers i used on the nesting die

This was adhered onto an A5 Kraft Card base. The card was finished with ribbon and nuvo drops

Paper Hug Shaker

My inspiration for this card came from this months monthly class at Kit and Clowder. The class is called botanical notes and the first chapter starts with colouring a vintage, aged envelope. This was where I got the idea for the edges

Wizardy Magic

A bit of DT inspiration for you today. Do not forget that there is a new Digi-Choosday Challenge post opened this morning and as always there is a discount code available until midnight GMT today.

The DT brief was to use an image or technique that you have used a lot.

Well it had to be my colouring and a wizardy magic image

Flower Stall

As a kid I loved watching Bedknobs and Broomstick as was amazed and in awe of the market where they are looking for the spell book. This card was inspired by that market, obviously I have brought it up to the 21st century with the imported plants and the travel mug but you get the general inspirational idea

Tea Room Window

So this was one of the 1st stamps set I ever got. I got it as a gift for my wedding anniversary from my hubbie and that is the 25th of this month. I had never held an alcohol marker before, had totally the wrong stamping ink but knew I wanted to make a window scene. I thought it fitting to make another window scene 12 months on to compare

Sweet November Release

So I woke up to a message asking if I would like to guest design for Sweet November Stamps. Of course I said yes!!! There are 4 vault releases and 1 new release. I literally could not decide which image to use so made a card for each one. So as not to bore you I will only blog one but will share the photos of the others.

This is the one I am blogging

Craft Collab

Todays card has been produced as part of a YouTube Hop for the Facebook group Craft Collabs. There are a number of prizes for random commenters along the way. The full details can be found on my YouTube Video

Duck pond

I am one of 4 siblings are they are 15 years between the youngest and myself, the middle 2 are boys and there is quite a big gap of 7 years between the older 2 and younger 2. When we were younger I remember going on holiday and there was a pond just like this one. The oldest of the younger 2 was ahead of us and turned around and started to run screaming, been chased by the mother duck. The little monkey had only stolen one of her chicks he had it in his coat. Will never forget my mothers face!!

Anyway onto todays scene, as these are cute cheeky couple or siblings and the lad is looking cheeky and he knows he is about to shove the sister in? I will leave you with that thought.....

Caravan

Wish I had a caravan that I could just lock myself away in some days. Although to be fair I am not too sure I would park it this close to the cliff edge

skys the limit

When ever I have used this stmp before it has involved clouds and being in the sky, well how about if is it just about to take off

Gardening Girlie

I love the idea of growing my own fruit and veg, we have a plum tree, an apple tree, a pear tree and last year planted a cherry tree, an almond tree and a blueberry bush. However I just can not have a green house, there was an almighty smash the other day and I run out expecting a broken window but thankfully only my solar light was the casualty of the cricket ball. Image a greenhouse. I would be a nervous wreak. Anyway this girlie appears to have very green fingers and is busy working in her greenhouse

Bashful bun

So I can not decide if Peter here is in the bad books and trying to win his lady around with a bunch of carrots, or if if he is trying to romance her, either way she is looking rather bashful about the situation. I am sure you would agree

Sepia

Todays card is a tongue in cheek one, Martha asked the other day if they had cameras when Grannie was little and so this card was born

clover

My children loved 'Guess how much I love you, as little kids, the illustrations were so soft and sweet ad one year they bought me a Nut Brown Hare for Mothers day. Anita Jeram illustrated the books and I have been desperate for some of the Colorado Craft Company stamps since I first saw her designs.

Mice Chef

I love how the little oven door opens on this stamp and die set and I had intended to make this into a little shaker but I guess my scene just sort of developed and took over before I had chance to stop myself. So my oven door does not open today.

Happy campers

So I have been going through my stamps to see what need a little more love and this stamp set sure is one of those.

Super Quick

A super quick one today that was created as Martha stated that I always do the same thing and she would like me to do something a little different. Cheers Kid!!

Polkadoodles Eli

Tuesday so that can only mean one thing. A new Digi-Choosday challenge and discount code is available now. Pop over and claim yours here
The DT brief was to use a critter image and to make a flap for something.
I decided to create this cute slot for a gift card

Jumping in puddles

This adorable duck was a freebie with the monthly news letter from Sweet November Stamps and I just had to pair him with the Fair-wee April who is also enjoying the rain.

I thought it paired perfectly with the sentiment from the Undercover plushes from Clearly Besotted

Serenity Blossom

This adorable fairy is from the new Serenity range at Polkadoodles. You all know how much I love toadstools so just had to have this adorable fairy

Fashion Anya

Our printer had broken, so I have been waiting for my new one to arrive, which meant I have only just got around to using Marchs Digital Release from The Greeting Farm. I love their monthly release as it leans so well to my scene building

No line colouring

After watching a YouTube video by Mindy Baxter of My Creative Scoop who does the most amazing things with her Copic markers I was inspired to attempt a no lines colouring card

Naughty bunny

I absolutely love the idea and the magic of the Easter bunny, as a kid my dad used to hide clues all around the house and he had to follow them and got a little piece of chocolate at each stop, finishing with a big egg in a place he had previously hid a clue. He has continued this on for his grandchildren and despite lockdown last year was no exception, I got up the day before Easter Sunday to a huge bag of chocolate eggs and clues that I had to hide and a zoom code and time. He had coordinated it so that all grandchildren had the same clues and could work together as a team on zoom. It was right at the beginning of lockdown and this quickly set the president for things to come. He retired right at the beginning of lockdown and so his ideas just keep coming.

This year lockdown is starting to ease and we are allowed 2 households to meet. I came home from work to find my dad scurrying around my garden with a note pad, working out clues and where he can hide everything. This year the hunt will be in my garden and my nephews will be here in person to do it with my children. Unfortunately due to the rule of 2 households the great Easter Grandad will be watching via zoom.

I totally digressed there, in todays card this naughty bunny has broken into the Easter harvest and stolen some eggs!! I hope he knows Santa watches all year round
