Perfect time to craft

A new month so time for a new challenge over at A Perfect Time To Craft Challenge Blog. As always this is anything goes and this month our sponsors are Dr Digi's and a new sponsor Stampers Delight.

This image is Deirdre's day off by Dr Digi, I love the humour in Dr Digi's images and so felt it would be appropriate to put Deirdre in a comical place which her sunbed and cocktail.

Enchanted Forest

Singing away in an enchanted forest

Howdy Partner

I got this stamp set in a mystery box from a fellow crafter who was destashing. The company are no longer trading but I thought this would make a great desert shaker

Whimsy Stamps

I won a prize on the Teen Self Esteem Hop for Whimsy Stamps. Last time I ordered from America I got stung for customs and it added an extra £28 onto my bill so I decided to go with digital images. This is the first image I coloured up.
This would have been our garden if we had not realised that Rosie the rabbit was actually Ray the rather rampant stallion!!!

Kindness Hop

I am participating in the kindness hop on Instragram. I love to send homemade cards as we have no idea what another individual is going through and yet my showing you care may lift someones spirtis in a tough time

magical gnome

This beautiful gnome is having a lovely stroll through the magical forest while drinking her tea. I sure hope her mug keeps her drink warmer than mine did at my sons football match on Sunday Morning

Bunny Burrow

This cute little hedgehog is so happy that lockdown is over and he can finally go for dinner at his best friends Miss Bunny. He is gleefully bouncing his way there

Shake Your Tail Feathers

Fancied a change from drawing trees so thought these fabulous birds could do with a lovely garden to relax in. That one on the perch looks like he is quite enjoying the sunshine.

Under the keg

The inspiration for todays card came from lesson 4 of the Sandy Allnock Copic Enchantment class, it is a slimline sun set with a log in the foreground and a forest in the background. I felt these drunks gnomes may not be able to see the sunset but it would create a fab backdrop for them,

Dino Time

My nephew turns 3 this month and is dinosaur mad!! So I wanted to create a fun dino card. I do actually fear for long neck here as I can not help that but think that he is about to become Mr Rex's lunch. I did not really think that one through when I stamped them up

Summer vibes

Imagine walking through this beautiful walled garden in the warm sunshine, listening to the birds chirping and the bees buzzing.
The perfect happy vibes

Be a mermaid

This is Charlie, Sweet November Stamps created Charlie as part of the Self Esteem Blog Hop, Charlie is based on the young lady who inspired the hop.

A super quick card today to continue to promote support for the Teen Self Esteem IG hop.

This is produced using digital papers and images from Crafty Purple Frog. These are available for members of the FB Crafty Purple Frog Group for the duration of the hop for free

Always be yourself

Another card to help to promote the Teen Self Esteem Hop. I wanted the sentiment to read You got this but I do not have a stamp so said that. So this Stamping Bella sentiment from the unicorn sentiments was adapted and reads always be yourself

Free Digis

A super quick post today, do not forget there are free digital images available for anyone that joins the Crafty Purple Frog Facebook page this week as part of the support for the teen self esteem hop, which there is still time to join in. You can find the details here

It is Tuesday so time for a new challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi-Choosday Challenge blog. Do not forget there will be a discount code available until midnight

Our design brief was a male card for fathers day

Heres to You

Since I first saw this badger with his top hat I have imaged him as Hugh Jackman in the Greatest showman. I have no idea why as I am not implying that Hugh Jackman looks anything like a badger. I think it is the hat. Anyway back to card making!!!

I feel like he was the circus master and so felt he needed his own big top. I have tried to shape this as a big top in the past with disastrous results, so have decided to just create it as a scene card. As you will be sick of me going on about it is Teen Self Esteem Awareness week and so I paired it with the Here's to you sentiment as we are all the star in our show

As part of the teen self esteem hop organised by the amazingly talented Jasim,  Amy from Crafty Purple Frog has designed a number of digital images and papers especially for the Hop you can find the sloth images here. The digital images are free to members of the Purple Crafty Frog Facebook Group. The code is on the group

I just adore this sloth and thought it would be the perfect opportunity to put part of my Sandy Allnock class to use

Teen Self Esteem Hop

The fabulous Jasmin has organised a hop to raise awareness of Teen Self Esteem. She has a number of amazing sponsors and so pop over to Instagram and join in the fun

Crafty Cats

Card Making Tutorial

Using the gallery die frame with the patterned paper

I laid it over a piece of white alcohol card to ensure that my stamps lined up

These were stamped and coloured up

the frames were applied and it was adhered onto a slimline card base. It just did not look right though there was too much white so this was decorated with Nuvo drops

Thank you for reading

Blooming Bunnies

So my Instagram account growth has become very stagnant and in an attempt to help drive traffic I have been trying to do reels as well as my usual daily card. The problem that I have is that my cards are done so far in advance that I have no video footage left on my phone to make the reels. So have made a couple of quick cards to facilitate this. Here is one of them

So this is lesson 3 of the Sandy Allnock copic enchantment and I have to be honest and say I have really struggled with this lesson.

Duck Race

We once stayed in a lodge owned by the Forestry Commission and they had a rubber duck race on the river that flowed through the forest. It was great fun, made even more hilarious by the organisers mad Labrador pup which swum down the river with the rubber ducks and every time it caught one it throw it out of the river, onto the shore. The organiser was charging down the bank lobbing them back in. This card made me laugh when I remembered the race

Mystical Fairies

So anyone that follows me on Instagram may have seen I have signed up  to the Sandy Allnock enchantment class and after following the first class, she encourages to practice and change up the colours, so I thought this pink and purple forest would be perfect for a fairy

This started out as a little experiment, I wanted to determine if I could heat emboss on acetate and it would appear the answer is yes and it makes quite a quick and glitzy card

flower Dragon

I keep looking at these adorable dragons and wondering how I could create a scene with them. I have wracked my brains for a week and then it came to me.

We have a tired gnome, she has spent the last few hours sewing the seeds for the harvest and has snuck inside to have five minutes peace with a good book away from Mr gnome

Birthday Mouse

I was honoured to be asked to be a guest designer for the new release over at The Crafty Purple Frog. Although this is not the first card I have shown you from this release, this is the first card that I created for it

Pull tab

For this card I have taken inspiration from my second Sandy Allnock lesson from the enchantment course, but have added in my stamps, an extra tree and changed up the colours

Bullying Awareness Hop

So when I was approached by Kelly from Kelly Creates and asked to participate in a hop for raising awareness of  bullying, I agreed but was totally stuck on what to do. A quick google search told me that the anti-bullying alliance in the UK hold a national anti bullying week every November which is themed, however this years theme is not released until May, so I could not even go with that for inspiration.

I rummaged through my stamps and came across the Be Your Own Hero stamp set by Stamping Bella and so decided to go with supportive inspiration instead

Toadally Awesome

Time for a new challenge over at Polkadoodles Digi-Choosday Challenge Blog and as always the theme is anything goes. Pop over and claim todays discount code

The design team were asked to make a clean and simple card and use twine or ribbon on it somewhere.

in celebration

I am so excited to finally be able to tell you all that Amy from Crafty Purple Frog has asked me to join her design team on a permanent basis. So I get to play with not only her fabulous releases but all the other amazing brands she stocks from around the world. So what better card to debut with but one that states In Celebration of this day...

I always looked at the Stamping Bella oddballs stamps in awe but never really sure what I would do with them but as my colouring skills and confidence in creating scenes has increased I find myself drawn to them.

It was our Wedding Anniversary in April, we have been married 13 years. I intended to make a pop up box card but that evolved into a different card somewhere along the way so here is the anniversary card I ended up making

So when I first made this card I very nearly did not blog it and was just going to throw it, however I decided that I would use it as a teaching opportunity about angle perception when it comes to creating scenes
