How is he 12
So Monday morning I woke up to a 12 year old!! How I have no idea, I think I blinked and his childhood was over. He is mad on computer games, especially the switch, mainly as a result of Covid I fear as this was a way to play with his friends. But we do also play quite alot as a family. He is at quite an awkward age but I do think I nailed his card

A piece of red card was folded into a gate fold card base
I cut 2 white panels and heat embossed in white the sentiment and diamond stamp at random positions. These were coloured in the distress oxide and adhered to the front of the card base
A silver and a red circle were cut and this was adhered onto the image.
This was adhered onto one side of the gate fold
The card was finished with sequins, clear drops and nuvo drops
Glossy accents were placed in the middle of the flowers

Zig Zag Card - Fun Fold
Another really easy fun fold card. That looks super effective. This one incorporates stamps from the Daisy Mae Design Village Bakery Collection and really makes me want cake....
Wizardly Magic Dutch Door Card
I have a Harry Potter mad daughter who is Team Slytherin
The Inspiration for this card begun to grow when I came across the ribbon on eBay on a late night shopping experience. I purchased the ribbon and then spent along time searching for the perfect stamp set to match it with. I eventually decided on the Hello Bluebird Halloween set featuring Tabitha, it has a girl, a cat, some bags, a witch hat and some potions and spell books. It looked perfect. I ordered it from America and as her birthday drew closer it still hadn't arrived. Then I discovered the Wizardly Magic from the Little Dudes Collection at Polkadoodles and my mind was made. This was just perfect for what I had in mind.
Fathers Day Card
I always struggle when it comes to male cards, the inspiration just does not flow like it does with female cards. So when Creative Stamping magazine came with a free set of Hunkydory, For the Love of Stamps The Great Outdoors stamp set, earlier in the year I knew that I would save them for this occasion.
Tent Stepper Card
I wanted to create a card where I could show off the vast majority of the Daisy Mae Faraway Collection. I wanted a woodland scene but all the folds I tried just looked swaped with the size of the toadstool and the tree stump house. But the tent stepper allows the little scene to play out perfectly
Easel Card - A Positivity Rainbow
There are so many beautiful rainbow cards out there that I wanted my take to be slightly different. This is s super easy easel card, almost like a cheat way, so perfect if you are in a rush, but still gives a great effect
Up, Up and Away Easy Fun Twisted Gatefold Card
This is a super easy card to make. I used the Daisy Mae Design Hot Air Ballon Stamp. This was one of my bargains from last week
I have had this gorgeous cloud paper for a little while now and feel this has given it the justice it deserves. It was a free download paper and Mr Printables Mr Printables Website is well worth a look, there are a lot of lovely prints.
VE Day Memorial Inspired Sympathy Card
I have known what I wanted to do with this stamp since the moment I ordered it. It is not often that happens for me, but I knew the moment I saw the stamp flash up on my facebook news feed early one morning that I just had to have it.
It is the 75th Anniversary of VE Day and our village had a street party and entertainment planned. The bank holiday had been changed from the Monday to the Friday to commemorate the day. But Coronavirus put an end to our planned celebrations with lockdown been on the cards instead.
So our VE day bank holiday consisted of decorating the house in home made bunting and an afternoon tea of dairy free scones (child with an allergy) which were an absolute disaster. I actually had to ask the children not to use them as weapons as they would do some serious damage.
A Vibrant Fun Fold Card
I feel like I am getting braver with distress inks and it is starting to show, I love the vibrancy of this card.
It feels really summery to me and reminds me of a red hot sunset and marigolds. Not sure why the marigolds maybe it is the orangey red.
Day 2 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Spring/Summer 2020
This is my second card for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. Today I chose to use a fun fold card that is clean and simple.
Fun Fold Card
A super cute and easy fun fold card, This has a teachers theme but can be adapted to whatever you wish
Full video tutorial available here Mrs H's Crafty Corner You Tube Channel
You Will Need
1 piece of card stock 11 3/4 Inch x 5 1/2 Inch
2 panels of patterned paper 1 1/2 inch x 5 Inch
1 piece of plain paper 5 Inch x 3.5 Inch
1 piece of patterned paper 5 Inch x 3.5 Inch
Scoring tool
Glue/ double sided tape
Paper trimmer
Ruler
Embellishments of your choice
I Used
Torn Edge Nesting Dies
Big Shot
A class Act Stamp and Die set by Clearly Besotted
Hunkydory Score Board
Spectrum Noir Tri-blend Markers
Papermania Embossing powder (In Superfine Silver)
Instructions
Begin by cutting your card stock to 11 3/4 Inch by 5 1/2 Inch
Score at 2, 4, 8, and 10 Inch along the length
Place a tiny mark at 6 Inch on both edges and using your ruler score from the middle point of the middle column to the corner of the first score mark (see picture below)
Trim 1/4 off the 1st panel
Cut 2 panels 1.5 Inch by 5 Inch and stick these to the outer columns with the glue of your choice
In order to cut the 8 triangles, first cut a piece of plain paper stock to 5 Inch by 3 1/2 Inch. Mark this at 1 3/4 Inch on the short side and 2.5 Inch on the long side. Draw a diamond
Cut the diamond out and keep the 4 triangles from the edges. Next cut the diamond into quarters.
Stick these to the triangle panels on the card
Cut another piece of patterned paper 5 Inch by 3 1/2 inch and mark in the same way as you did with the plain paper. Cut down the diamond and apply to the front panel
Then embellish however you wish. I used the big shot to die cut 2 different sized torn edge rectangles.
I stuck one vertically
I stamped, coloured and die cu an unbranded teachers set I had and used these on the front panel. I then heat embossed the 2nd torn edge rectangle horizontally with the sentiment 'teacher you are a class act.
This card can be adapted to what ever you have in your stash and is super quick to make but a real eye catcher. Hope you have as much fun making it as I did creating it
