Card Making Tutorial

I begun by stamping my images, using post it notes to mask them and create my scene. I coloured these using alcohol markers 

A piece of red card was folded into a gate fold card base

I cut 2 white panels and heat embossed in white the sentiment and diamond stamp at random positions. These were coloured in the distress oxide and adhered to the front of the card base

A silver and a red circle were cut and this was adhered onto the image.

This was adhered onto one side of the gate fold

The card was finished with sequins, clear drops and nuvo drops

Glossy accents were placed in the middle of the flowers

Time to play with my Made to Surprise shoes and bags stamp set. I wanted to do quite a simple card one. I had a few ideas but nothing seemed to work or look quite right, I was having a bad day. So decided to just go with ink resist and blending

Cardmaking Tutorial

I begun by cutting a rectangle of white card using the nesting die

Using embossing ink and one.of the bag stamps. I stamped the image a number of times and heat embossed with white embossing powder

This was then blended with peacock Feathers and wilted violet.

The sentiment was heat embossed in ebony and die cut with the circle nesting die. This was blended in worn lipstick 

This was attached to the card using foam squares and was attached to the card base.

Gems and nuvo drops were then applied above the sentiment

Slider

I finally bit the bullet and decided to attempt the slider card that came in July's edition of the Papercraft Society Box. I thought it was going to be really difficult so had not got around to giving it the time. But it was amazingly easy I was so surprised and I love the results. This is definitely a fun card and one I will be creating again

Cardmaking Instructions

 The sheet of white A4 was cut to 6 Inches, scored and folded at the half way mark

A piece of red card was cut to 5 3/4 Inch by 6 Inch and a Sheet of the stripy patterned paper from the subscription box was cut to 5 1/4 by 5 1/2 Inch. These were glued together and using the slider die from the pack I cut the slide mechanism.

This was laid over the white card base and a pencil mark showed where I needed to stamp. I heat embossed the sentiment "Oh you don't look a day over fabulous"

The Pull mechanism was cut into red card and Pull was stamped onto the end with the Midas Ink.

Using double sided tape this was glued onto the mechanism on the inside of the card. The Card face was then glued onto the card base.

The stamped images were coloured, fussy cut and arranged on the slide mechanism. The word 'Yay' was die cut in the same red as the card. This die was also into the subscription box.

Gold ribbon was glued down the sides 

The Pull mechanism was finished with 2 flower sequins and blue gems stuck onto the top and the bottom. 

This will be entered into the following challenges

Friendship

Are you like me? Are the social restrictions begin to grate on you? I understand why we need to do what we are doing but I don't think I have ever gone this long without seeing my best friend. We have been friends since I was 10, so for over 25 years we have stood shoulder to shoulder through the tough times and the great times and I now have not seen her since the beginning of March. Of course we have spoken but not actually seen each other in flesh. She lives over 30 miles away so to drive all that way just to wave through a window was against the rules.

 

 

A Vibrant Fun Fold Card

I feel like I am getting braver with distress inks and it is starting to show, I love the vibrancy of this card.

It feels really summery to me and reminds me of a red hot sunset and marigolds. Not sure why the marigolds maybe it is the orangey red.

Craftstash Delivery

I have been so excited for this parcel to arrive. It feels like I have waited ages as I had parts of it sat in my basket for a little while before I actually placed the order. 

It actually arrived just 6 days after I placed the order, which for the current climate with the added issues of social distancing and the extreme pressure the postal service is under. I am very impressed with
