Happy Birthday Mum

My mum has always warned us she plans to get old disgracefully, We tell her she best pick her home now then so I thought this would be the perfect card.

No Lines

I wanted this to be a soft no lines scene so stamped my image using a very soft ink ink. I am participating in a summer hop, the idea is that every Friday throughout July we will post a summer themed card using the hashtag #summeraspired

It is Tuesday so time for a new challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi-Choosday Challenge blog. Do not forget there will be a discount code available until midnight

Polkadoodles New Beginnings

Tuesday again, my how these weeks are flying which I actually do not understand as we can not go anywhere or visit anybody. How did we ever find time to do that in the past???

Time for a new challenge over at Polkadoodles Digi-Choosday Challenge Blog as always the theme is anything goes and if you pop over today there is a great money off discount code.

The Design Teams Brief was new beginnings and pastel colours. Perfect for new grandparents. I actually had the brief when Oliver, my nephew was born so I made this card which I then sent to my parents.

Sticks and bones

Polkadoodles have rearranged their website adding in new categories and I have found whole new sections that I did not know they did. I love the Sticks and bones range and picked one of these for Martha's birthday card to give to Jack

Spring Polkadoodles

It is Tuesday so time for a new Digi-Choosday challenge over at Polkadoodles Digi-Choosday. Our design team brief was to use a spring image and bright colours. I unconsciously lean more towards pastels and kept reaching for my favourite blends so this was a good time to push the boundaries and experiment

As pretty as this card is now it very nearly did not happen. I stamped the sentiment and smudged it not once but four times!! Then heat embossed mum and smudged that too. I was not having the best day.

This card is for my Grandma from my Mum and Dad. She will kill me if I tell you how old she is so lets just say the wrong side of 85

Polkadoodles Gamer Dude

Martha's little 'friend' Dan is 10 and they are going to Pizza Hut for his birthday. You should hear them giggling together on the phone, they are always playing some game or other on line and sound a little like an old married couple. I am not allowed to ask if he is her boyfriend, but I strongly suspect that it is heading that way.

He is a whiz on the computer and she showed me some of the things he has coded! WOW!! So I had a brainwave that I would make him a gamer card, I had seen a cute gamer stamper from a company and decided I would use that. Came to purchase it and for some reason I had got it into my head it was a digital stamp and it wasn't it was a clear stamp. With not time for posting I remembered that Polkadoodles did a digital stamp called Gamer Dude, so I quickly purchased that and mixed it with some greeting farm digital images

There is a quick video showing how I created the card on my YouTube Channel Mrs H's Crafty Corner

Card Making Supplies

Polkadoodles Gamer Dude Digital Stamps and Paper Pack
The Greeting Farm Digital Image Birthday Party & Hello From Home
Stitched Rectangle Nesting Die
A4 Green Card
Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers

Card Making Tutorial

A sheet of green A4 Card was scored and folded down the middle. The front panel was then scored and folded once more, this time as a valley fold

The yellow digital paper that comes with the gamer dude, reads hope you have a great day and this was trimmed down to fit inside the card

The blue paper also comes with the pack and was trimmed to fit the front panel

The image used a mix of brands, the banner, presents and balloons are from the greeting farm, birthday party. The sofa is from the greeting farm hello from home and the gamer dude is from Polkadoodles. I have drawn the rest in myself. I then trimmed the image using a stitched rectangle die and adhered it to the card front with double sided tape
