Bes-Teas IG Hop

It is ages since I made a shaker card so thought what better way to celebrate the new release over at Not 2 Shabby then with a shaker.

Hoppin By Pop Up

Sneak Peak Day 2, So as soon as I received the Hopping By Stamp Set From the new release from Crafty Purple Frog I knew I wanted to do something a little different. But I could not make up my mind what, so a scene card, come pop up, come shaker all rolled into one emerged

I really can not believe how fast this year is going. It is time for another new release at Crafty Purple Frog and it follows on the animal theme and makes me think back to childhood stories of wind in the willows. Mr Otter here is attempting to catch his dinner

T4TD Swap

I signed up to take part in the Time For Tea Designs Card Swap on Facebook, my recipient has received her card so I can now share

Then I had a big on a mental block on the sort of card I could send and eventually came up with this idea

Howdy Partner

I got this stamp set in a mystery box from a fellow crafter who was destashing. The company are no longer trading but I thought this would make a great desert shaker

It was our Wedding Anniversary in April, we have been married 13 years. I intended to make a pop up box card but that evolved into a different card somewhere along the way so here is the anniversary card I ended up making

This card has been created as part of the spring hop for Team Tiny on YouTube, It is a hashtag driven hop so if you do want to hop along your search term is #teamtinyspinghop over on YouTube

Paper Hug Shaker

My inspiration for this card came from this months monthly class at Kit and Clowder. The class is called botanical notes and the first chapter starts with colouring a vintage, aged envelope. This was where I got the idea for the edges

How is he 12

So Monday morning I woke up to a 12 year old!! How I have no idea, I think I blinked and his childhood was over. He is mad on computer games, especially the switch, mainly as a result of Covid I fear as this was a way to play with his friends. But we do also play quite alot as a family. He is at quite an awkward age but I do think I nailed his card

21st shaker

Having a birthday during in lockdown in mot fabulous but having a special birthday ay the moment must be awful. So I really wanted to make this card for my cousin a little special.

Heart new arrival

My baby days are over so I literally  can not wait to hold my Brother and Sister In Laws baby. Lockdown means we are missing out on so much. Baby snuggles are just one. He has arrived and is just gorgeous, both are well

Team Tiny Love Hop

Apologises I do not participate in a hop for ages and then bombard you with a number of them all at once. I like to keep on my toes...

This card has been created as part of the Team Tiny Love Hop on YouTube. Team Tiny is a group of like minded people on facebook who have less than 1000 subscribers and want to grow their channel.

In the spirit of Valentine's Day the theme this month is a Love Hop. This is a hashtag driven hop so you search #teamtinylovehop on YouTube to see all participation

Interactive Invitation

Its Tuesday so that can only mean one thing!!! A new Digi-choosday challenge and discount code. Hop over to Polkadoodles Digi-Chooseday Challenge Blog to claim yours and enter.

The Design Teams brief was an invitation to Thanksgiving or Christmas that is Interactive.

I wanted to create something a little different I did contemplate just making a shaker but then I quite like the idea of revealing the date. I think it works really well. I wanted to step away from the tradition Christmas colours as well.

There is a video on my YouTube channel Mrs H's Crafty Corner

Card Making Supplies
Polkadoodles digi stamp Winnie Rolling Snowball
Polkadoodles digi bundle  Winnie White Christmas Alphabet
Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers
Silver Sequins
Nuvo Drops in Antique Rose
A4 blue card
A5 white card
Rust Card
Rose Gold Card
Pull Tab Die
Stitched Rectangle Nesting Dies
Stitched Star Dies

Cardmaking Tutorial

To begin I sized and printed my image and the words you are invited, onto smooth card stock suitable for alcohol markers.
I then printed the same image with the date and time in the snowball on normal printed paper.

I coloured the original image and die cut with a stitched rectangle

Using the rust card and a largest stitched rectangle die I cut a another rectangle

Using a craft knife I cut the snowball from the image

With my largest rectangle die I cut a piece of white card, and positioned my pull tab insert and a stitched star die

With the smaller stars I cut a number of rust and a number of rose gold stars

The image that had been printed with the date and time was mounted onto the rust rectangle and adhered to the white card with double sided tape.
The coloured image was then lined up over the top so the information could be seen through the cutout snowball

The slit was die cut in

A piece of acetate was glued over the inside of the star.

The pull tab was secured. Foam tape was place around the edges of the star and it was filled with silver sequins

A piece of rose gold card was adhered to the back of this to secure the shaker element.

Foam tape was run around the edges and this was adhered to the blue a4 card to form a card base

The die cut stars were added around the edges

Then silvers sequins and nuvo drops were spotted around

The pull tab was was accessorised with the rust card.

This card was very time consuming and one of those that you end up doing numerous times, I had the pull tab too high, then too low, then glued the acetate onto the wrong side.
But I am so glad I persevered as I really do love the finished product.

This is being entered into the following challenges
