Christmas Jar Shaker

I stamped these adorable little jars from Clearly Besotted and sort of got caught up in the flow of creative vibes and before I knew it I had a Christmas shaker card. It had started out intending to be 3 gift tags.....

There is a video on my YouTube Channel. Mrs H's Crafty Corner It is another video using the new format of voice over so please let me have your options, it is all constructive, do not feel you have to hold back.

Cardmaking Supplies
Clearly Besotted Festive Filler Stamps
Paper Discovery Build A Card Panel Dies
Foam Tape
Coloured Sequins
Acetate
Green card
Red Card base A4
Torn Rectangle Nesting Dies
Distress ink in Chipped Sapphire, Mowed Lawn, Spiced Marmalade and Festive Berries

Cardmaking Tutorial

Using the paper Discovery die set I cut the large rectangle in the green card, I then cut the panel down the middle. But the cut outs to one side as you need them later.

Cut a second large rectangle the same size as the first in cream card.
I then laid the green one on top.of the cream one and glued the green panels you saved from earlier onto the cream card, lining up with the gaps they were cut from. Every 5th hole I left blank.

Acetate was then adhered to the green panel, covering the holes.

Using foam tape I covered the cream panel to form 3 pockets. Using the space from the 5th panel which you have not used.

Each pocket was filled with different colour sequins.

The front was then glued onto the base. The two remaining die cuts were glued onto the acetate on the front of the card so that you can not see the foam tape below.
See the picture below

Using a torn rectangle nesting die, 3 panels of white card were cut and 2 jars stamped on each piece.

These were masked and each one coloured by blending distress ink, one is Festive Berries, one Mowed Lawn and the final one is Spiced Marmalade
The images were then coloured with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers

The shaker panel.was glued onto the red card base which had been cut too, 6 1/2 Inch by 9 1/4 Inch.
The 3 coloured panel were adhered with foam squares.
A tiny torn rectangle was stamped used Chipped Sapphire and reads BE MERRY

Nuvo drops in Silver Moonlight and Ruby Slippers gives the card its finishing touches, along with some some flake stickers

I fell in love with the rainbow shaker cards that were in the Time for Tea Designs Sneak Peaks and knew that I would be adding it to my collection as soon as I could get my hands on it.

Mint Green Card
Burgundy Card
A5 Card Base
Time For Tea Designs All Occasions Critters Stamp and Die Set
Distress Ink in Salty Ocean
Spectrum Noir Noir Finesse in Rustic brown
Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers
Shaker Elements
Acetate
Nuvo Drops in Ruby Slippers
Grey board

Cardmaking Tutorial
I stamped and coloured the critter with the umbrella using the Finesse ink and alcohol markers.
The rain drops were stamped in salty ocean and both were die cut

The pale green card was cut to fit the card base and the rainbow was die was cut out of it.

The die cut was then attached to the acetate. I had no foam left so I cut the die again in grey board to give me the dimension. This was glued onto the acetate and once dry the shaker elements were added and the back secured with the burgundy card.

This was them put back into the gap created on the green card from the original die cut.
This was adhered to the card base and the critter glued on.

The sentiment was heat embossed in wow mint macaroon and die cut with the banner from the set.
There were attached onto the green card. See the picture below for arrangement

Nuvo drops were added to the top right corner

Greeting Card Flower Shaker

I love the Papercraft Society July box it is so vibrant and fun. I love the idea of moving cards but for now wanted to just make a plain old shaker. I think I need to have a little play with the moving dies before I will be confident enough to film myself making one.

Greeting Card Gnome Love

Todays Handmade Greeting Card is for the Cupcakes Inspiration challenge. The theme theme for this round is flowers with Pearl's or sequins

Papercraft Society June Box Make

So I got the email to tell me Julys box had been released and had a mild panic as I had not made anything yet with my June box. I wanted to make a shaker but felt a little overwhelmed with the endless possibilities of ideas racing through my mind.

Big Three O

We have a special 30th birthday. My Sister in Law turns 30 and so this card needed to be super special. Not only does she put up with my brother but was a massive support to both, myself, my husband and the kids when I was undergoing my cancer treatment. She picked me up, wiped my tears and fed me cake.
