Bashful bun

So I can not decide if Peter here is in the bad books and trying to win his lady around with a bunch of carrots, or if if he is trying to romance her, either way she is looking rather bashful about the situation. I am sure you would agree

Sepia

Todays card is a tongue in cheek one, Martha asked the other day if they had cameras when Grannie was little and so this card was born

clover

My children loved 'Guess how much I love you, as little kids, the illustrations were so soft and sweet ad one year they bought me a Nut Brown Hare for Mothers day. Anita Jeram illustrated the books and I have been desperate for some of the Colorado Craft Company stamps since I first saw her designs.

Mice Chef

I love how the little oven door opens on this stamp and die set and I had intended to make this into a little shaker but I guess my scene just sort of developed and took over before I had chance to stop myself. So my oven door does not open today.

Happy campers

So I have been going through my stamps to see what need a little more love and this stamp set sure is one of those.

Jumping in puddles

This adorable duck was a freebie with the monthly news letter from Sweet November Stamps and I just had to pair him with the Fair-wee April who is also enjoying the rain.

I thought it paired perfectly with the sentiment from the Undercover plushes from Clearly Besotted

Serenity Blossom

This adorable fairy is from the new Serenity range at Polkadoodles. You all know how much I love toadstools so just had to have this adorable fairy

Fashion Anya

Our printer had broken, so I have been waiting for my new one to arrive, which meant I have only just got around to using Marchs Digital Release from The Greeting Farm. I love their monthly release as it leans so well to my scene building

No line colouring

After watching a YouTube video by Mindy Baxter of My Creative Scoop who does the most amazing things with her Copic markers I was inspired to attempt a no lines colouring card

Naughty bunny

I absolutely love the idea and the magic of the Easter bunny, as a kid my dad used to hide clues all around the house and he had to follow them and got a little piece of chocolate at each stop, finishing with a big egg in a place he had previously hid a clue. He has continued this on for his grandchildren and despite lockdown last year was no exception, I got up the day before Easter Sunday to a huge bag of chocolate eggs and clues that I had to hide and a zoom code and time. He had coordinated it so that all grandchildren had the same clues and could work together as a team on zoom. It was right at the beginning of lockdown and this quickly set the president for things to come. He retired right at the beginning of lockdown and so his ideas just keep coming.

This year lockdown is starting to ease and we are allowed 2 households to meet. I came home from work to find my dad scurrying around my garden with a note pad, working out clues and where he can hide everything. This year the hunt will be in my garden and my nephews will be here in person to do it with my children. Unfortunately due to the rule of 2 households the great Easter Grandad will be watching via zoom.

I totally digressed there, in todays card this naughty bunny has broken into the Easter harvest and stolen some eggs!! I hope he knows Santa watches all year round

Honour Students

I always thought it would be absolutely amazing to attend a prestigious old school, with its fabulous architecture, so you can imagine my exciting when many moons ago I was accepted to The University of Leeds, I was actually gutted to find out that despite the beauty of some of the buildings on the outside they were very modern inside and the windows did not even match up with some of the floors. I remember being in one seminar room and the windows were at my feet. Lets hope these honour students are not disappointed

Gned

So I made the decision that I would not be doing as many videos as they are so time consuming, I currently try to do one every day but planned to cut down to a few a week. Anyone I had already half recorded this adorable gnome before I even realised I was doing it

Happy Mail

I decided I would attempt to create a scene using my cute critter stamps. I am finding it very easy now to do them for the more human type of stamps. So why not the critters?

Besties

Now I have coloured these beauties up I think they are in scrubs. This was not my intention. It was yo be 2 friends putting the world to rights over coffee in a diner. But the colours really make me think these are 2 nurses just finished a long and traumatic night shift and having a debrief over coffee before they attempt to renter civilised life.

Karate Grandson

Mum asked me to make a card for Jack for his birthday and being the 3rd one I have made for him I was seriously running out of ideas. So have made a karate scene. We have spent most of lockdown watching Karate Kid films and the new series on netflix Cobra Kai

Forest Fairy

I honestly can not recommend the Kit and Clowder monthly colouring tutorials enough. I am learning so much and have so much confidence now, I literally can not stop colouring up these little scenes.

Today Odette the beautiful little fairy is playing in the forest which is full of the joys of spring, she has her lovely bright dress on and is practicing balancing on a log over a babbling brook

There is a video on my YouTube Channel Mrs H's Crafty Corner

Dancing with Fairy

I have so many ideas for the new clear stamps by Sweet November Stamps I literally can not get my ideas down fast enough.

I needed to make dinner but got so enthralled in my colouring I got lost again and so I had a rebellion of starving dictators on my hands

Shopping Friends

I knew when I saw these three ladies that I wanted to colour them up into a shopping theme I just was not too sure how much detail to put into the background and started a couple of times but felt that it was just way to busy. I finally settled on just a partial shop doorway

Sticks and bones

Polkadoodles have rearranged their website adding in new categories and I have found whole new sections that I did not know they did. I love the Sticks and bones range and picked one of these for Martha's birthday card to give to Jack
